Our Denomination: Government of the Church
Presbyterian churches are governed by elders.
Teaching elders are pastors, and ruling elders are ordained from the congregation. All elders are elected, and when they meet together in an official capacity, they are referred to as a "session." The session is responsible for the direction of the church and for the spiritual life of its members.
Randy Brooks, Jonathan Franklin, and Ben Goldman have been elected by the congregation as elders for Grace Pres.
In addition, churches elect deacons who are spiritually gifted men to help oversee matters relating material needs of the church and its members.
