Core Values of Grace Presbyterian Church

A MINISTRY OF THE WORD

We believe that the life of the church, as well as our individual lives, are to be directed by God's Word: the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. It is through Scripture that we come to a greater understanding of our Savior and ourselves, as well as understanding how we are to live.

A CHRIST-CENTERED CHURCH

Because Jesus came as the Hope of the helpless, He is the focus of church life. As it is Christ who has saved us from our sins, so He also continues to provide for His people. Therefore we hope to make Him the center of our lives, not just on Sunday morning, but throughout each week.

FREE GRACE FOR SINNERS

We believe that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world, and that He came into the world to save sinners. Luke 19:10 says, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." We are not a group of people who are perfect or who claim to "have it all together." Instead, our hope is in Christ who freely offers forgiveness to those who turn from their sin and trust in Him for forgiveness. As God has given us such a great salvation, we look to Him to help us live in a manner that is pleasing to Him.

FAITHFUL AND VIBRANT WORSHIP OF GOD

We believe that worship is the primary reason that we exist. Whether at home, at work, or meeting together with God's people (the church), our desire is to glorify Him. Our Sunday worship is especially important. The angels worship Christ, and we should too! We come together to praise God because of who He is and what He has done. We study the Bible, because we see our Savior there and because our lives are changed by it.

A DISCIPLING AND FELLOWSHIPPING CHURCH

All of God's people have been given gifts to use for the growth and encouragement of those around them. We seek to use those gifts as we care for each other and for all those we come in contact with in King George County and around the world.
